This document provides a project overview and status update for an open source map server focused on mapping the Republic of Georgia. The map server is based on OpenStreetMap and allows for a customizable frontend and user authentication. Current tasks include completing backup scripts to dump and restore map data and databases, implementing automated installation, and minor tweaks and optimizations. Issues include some map data being lost during backups and the Rails port running slower, as well as restrictions on linking the Rails server to port 80.
