Julian and Michael Omidi founded the charity No More Poverty to combat poverty both domestically and internationally by supporting and partnering with other charities. Julian Omidi recently refocused his main energy on philanthropic activities and providing aid to the less fortunate. Earlier this year, he and his brother Michael Omidi, MD founded the charity No More Poverty. The organization seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts of like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world.

Through his own personal journey, Michael Omidi was moved to become a philanthropist and use his talents and resources to help others. No More Poverty was born out of a deep desire to help those in need through the support of like-minded charities and their worthwhile efforts to fight poverty around the world.
I am passionate about giving back to those in need. A few years ago I traveled to Vietnam to perform reconstructive surgery for the impoverished people of that country. There I saw what it was like for men, women, and children to live a meager existence in abject poverty, struggling on a daily basis for basics like food and water. This is why my brother Julian Omidi and I founded No More Poverty. We want to help those who are suffering by addressing their poverty and providing hope for a better tomorrow.

NO MORE POVERTY was founded by the Omidi brothers, Julian Omidi and Michael Omidi, M.D. Moved by the daily struggles of the impoverished throughout this world, they established this not-for-profit charity to support dedicated individuals and compassionate charities that are truly making a difference in the world.
“Making a difference” is a common phrase in today’s vernacular, and it can easily be construed as trite. That’s understandable, but it truly sums up the brothers’ feelings about addressing the plight of the less fortunate. Through NO MORE POVERTY, the brothers want to reach out, offer support, education, counsel, and help improve the lives of the disadvantaged.

The charities and causes NO MORE POVERTY supports vary -- from ensuring safe drinking water for developing areas to providing school supplies for needy scholars. The premise is to support and promote those that are helping others. There is strength in numbers and the Omidis’ objective is to increase the public awareness of novel and effective charities and help them grow exponentially to help even more people.

About 1.75 billion people in this world live in multi-dimensional poverty, meaning extreme deprivation in education, health, and standard of living. This devastating statistic and the myriad of challenges faced daily by the world’s impoverished moved Michael Omidi and his brother Julian Omidi to found NO MORE POVERTY.
NO MORE POVERTY seeks to end poverty at home and abroad by supporting the efforts and partnering with like-minded charities and agencies. Current efforts are focused on increasing awareness of and donations to charities already doing great work to address poverty and its staggering effects throughout the world. The plan is to soon expand our activities to include fostering business development and job creation in disenfranchised areas.
