Oral Health Internship
Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
Oral Health Program was an opportunity to look into the world of public health as it
relates to dentistry and oral health leadership.
Extensively involved in the Oral Health Program’s work to improve the oral health
of vulnerable communities across the entire state.
Worked on specific research projects, went to meetings, set up at oral health events,
attended conferences and cell groups.
Collaborated with other invested groups, and some elected officials on initiatives to
bring about change, especially in how individuals and communities view their oral
health.
Worked with many oral health leaders was outstanding as well as the reading of
grants.
As an intern I had the opportunity to question a few dentists in the community
regarding periodontal disease and pregnancy as well as kid’s first doctor’s visit.
The Oral Health Program and the people we serve are very important and unique. It
was a great internship.
