Oral Health Internship
Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills:
 Oral Health Program was an opportunity to look into the world of public health as it
relates to dentistry and oral health leadership.
 Extensively involved in the Oral Health Program’s work to improve the oral health
of vulnerable communities across the entire state.
 Worked on specific research projects, went to meetings, set up at oral health events,
attended conferences and cell groups.
 Collaborated with other invested groups, and some elected officials on initiatives to
bring about change, especially in how individuals and communities view their oral
health.
 Worked with many oral health leaders was outstanding as well as the reading of
grants.
 As an intern I had the opportunity to question a few dentists in the community
regarding periodontal disease and pregnancy as well as kid’s first doctor’s visit.
 The Oral Health Program and the people we serve are very important and unique. It
was a great internship.
