MY FAVOURITE SUBJECT
Teacher, of all the subjects I have in school, my favourite
subject is Arts. It is because I love to draw and I am good at it.
First, I love drawing so much since I was little. I still
remember picking up crayons and coloured pencils when I was a
toddler. I scribbled on almost everything. So much so that I love
drawing that every chance I have in between periods, I find myself
doodling or sketching something on anything I can get my hands on.
It started off with lines and then I started to draw cartoons and
caricatures. I have caricatures of all the teachers I know. Some of
them are flattering but some cannot be shown to the persons

3. Second, I love Arts and I am good at it. My classmates say
I draw very well and I am inclined to agree with them – perhaps
because I do really notice the effort I put in my drawings. I believe
I have the talent to begin with but by learning Arts, I get to hone
my artistic skills and gain knowledge about arts and everything
related to it. Without Arts in school, I don’t think I will get to know
about so many other artists and some of them have become my
role models. I look up to painters like Van Gogh and Monet and I draw
inspirations from their works. I guess, I must have won that many
drawing contests because I did try to mix around the techniques
that the Arts teacher taught me and the distinctive styles of those
renowned painters. In addition, I always scored my Arts paper.
I had always got an A for my Arts tests and exams without trying
so hard. I do revisions but I love revising Arts so it is all fun. Believe

4. In conclusion, Arts must be my favourite subject because
I always feel good when I draw and when I do anything related to
drawing. It can be reading about drawing, talking about it or simply
viewing drawings of others. I can spend hours flipping through
Arts books and magazines and even more hours browsing on the
Internet, looking at how fantastic the artworks of many new
independent contemporary artists. It is definitely my favourite
subject because of the good feeling that arises every time I am
surrounded by Arts.
