Joseph Estrada served as the 13th President of the Philippines from 1998 until 2001. He was popularly known as "ERAP" and began his career as a film actor, starring in over 100 movies. As President, Estrada aimed to grow the economy and reduce unemployment and inflation, but faced challenges from the Asian Financial Crisis. He was ultimately ousted in 2001 during the EDSA Revolution amid allegations of corruption.
