Medical Scribe
Worked as a medical scribe in the Emergency Department at Baptist Homestead Hospital,
after receiving official medical scribe training and certification from the Medical Scribe
Training System and completing over 100 hours of in site training.
Worked 12 hour day and night shift keeping and updating the Electronic Medical Records for
hundreds of patients while following HIPPA standards and the new ICD-10 standards.
After becoming a certified Spanish-English translator, translated for non-Spanish speaking
physicians helping the Emergency Department run more efficiently.
Had invaluable experience learning and shadowing medical physicians while they ran
emergency procedures and acquired knowledge of medications, medical vocabulary, and
disease processes,all the while keeping records of every medication, procedure, and time
stamp for accurate medical record of patient care.
