Medical Scribe
 Worked as a medical scribe in the Emergency Department at Baptist Homestead Hospital,
after receiving official medical scribe training and certification from the Medical Scribe
Training System and completing over 100 hours of in site training.
 Worked 12 hour day and night shift keeping and updating the Electronic Medical Records for
hundreds of patients while following HIPPA standards and the new ICD-10 standards.
 After becoming a certified Spanish-English translator, translated for non-Spanish speaking
physicians helping the Emergency Department run more efficiently.
 Had invaluable experience learning and shadowing medical physicians while they ran
emergency procedures and acquired knowledge of medications, medical vocabulary, and
disease processes,all the while keeping records of every medication, procedure, and time
stamp for accurate medical record of patient care.

 Performing an empirical honors thesis based on physical activity and symptoms of Attention-
Deficit Hyperactivity disorder.
 Abstract accepted at the ABCT conference in Chicago, IL.

 Working on a federally-funded (Institute of Education Sciences) study examining the effects of a
behavioralsummer treatment program on preschoolers’ kindergarten readinessand school
adjustment. Working on a second study examining the effects ofbehavioraltreatment on the
cognitive and neuropsychologicaloutcomesof children with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity
Disorder
 Administrating and scoring of parent and teacher pencil-and-papermeasures.
 Conducting administrative duties including participant recruitment and scheduling,creating
databasesfor data entry,data checking,scoring,and management
 In collaboration with supervisors,developing and refining a coding scheme assessing emotional
regulation. Coding of emotionalfunctioning for 105 participants aged 3-11
 Preliminary analysis of data in SPSS including computing reliability
 Conducting lab managementtasksincluding research assistant recruitment and training of
colleagues on coding and neuropsychologicalmeasures.
