John F. Kennedy was born in 1917 in Massachusetts. He served in WWII and was a decorated war hero after surviving for days on a deserted island after his boat was cut in half. Kennedy was elected as the youngest president in 1960, winning the first televised debate against Nixon. As president, Kennedy assembled a team of intelligent advisors known as the "Best and the Brightest" to help lead the country, but tragically was assassinated in 1963 after just over 1,000 days in office.
