George W. Bush was born in 1946 in New Haven, Connecticut and moved to Texas in 1948. He attended Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts and Yale University, where he earned a history degree in 1964. Bush then attended Harvard Business School and earned his MBA. He joined the Texas Air National Guard and was arrested for a DUI in 1970. Bush's political career began when he unsuccessfully ran for the Texas House in 1978. He later served as Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000 and was elected President in 2000 and 2004, serving as the 43rd U.S. President.
