He was the former US Marine Corps pilot, astronauts and US Senator who was the first American and third to orbit the Earth.After retiring from NASA, he entered politics as a Democratic and represented (1974- 1999).When the attack on Pearl Harbor brought the US into WWII, he dropped of college and enlisted in the US Army Air Corps. He was nicknamed “magnet butt”, from his ability to attract enemy folk. Glenn was honored by President Kennedy in 1962.When Kennedy was assassinated, Glenn remained close with the Kennedy family.In 1970, he contested for the Democratic nomination for US Senate.In 1990, Glenn was inducted in the Astronaut Hall of Fame.He married Anna Margaret Castor(Glenn).In 2010, Glenn was ranked the 5th most popular space hero.

Ole MissUniversity of Mississippi admitted its first Black or African- American student, James Meredith, with US Marshalls enforcing the rules to integrate the school (1962).After, Meredith was barred from entering on September 20th. His enrollment, publically opposed by segregationist Governor Ross Barnatt, sparked riots on the Oxford campus. Later on, several federal US Army military police from the 503rd Military Police Battalion were sent by John F. Kennedy. Troops from the US Border Patrol and Mississippi National Guard were called in as well. The riots led to a violent clash which left two people dead (exectution style).Segregation to protest the enrollment of Meredith.

He followed Pope John and completed the implementation of the goals of the Second Vatican Council. He became the first pope to visit six continents, but he also was known for being an indecisive leader. His views were important to the world’s Catholics.He fostered improved ecumenical relations with Orthodox, Anglicans and Protestants, which resulted in many historic meetings and agreements.He was elected to the papacy and takes regnal of Paul VI.

Malcolm XBorn on May 19 1925 in Omaha Nebraska, died February 21 1965 in New York City.The events of his childhood and Father’s teachings, taught him about African American pride and self reliance later impacted him throughout adulthood.While in Charlestown State prison for several crimes his brother told him to join the Islamic religion. He became interested also talking to his brother he developed a hatred to Caucasians.After converting to the Islamic religion he changed his last name to X.He became a public speaker and a human rights activist. Talking about unjust issues going on in America, such as the hatred towards African Americans by the Caucasians of America as well as Anti Semitism, and Violence.He was asked to speak at many college campuses.He received many death threats and sadly died from an assassination while speaking at the Afro American Unity Organization when a man shouted racial slurs towards him and shot him.14,000 to 30,000 people came to visit his three day public viewing funeral.Today many people are still astounded and thinking of the thoughts and teachings of Malcolm X.

British Politician Sex a.k.a the Profumo AffairProfumo was the Secretary of State for War in Harold’s Macmillian’s conservative government and was already married.Profumo met Christine Keeler a London call girl and a mistress to an alleged Russian spy at a house party at Buckinghamshire Mansion.At the time of the cold war, and seeing his high government status, as well and the aduleterous nature this became a scandal.Keeler had a relationship with Johnny Edgecomb and at the end of their relationship while staying at Stephen Ward’s flat Edgecomb came with a gun to the door and kept Keeler in hostage with an axe for two days. Also discovering she became involved with a Jamaican drug dealer named Aloysius Gordon. He plotted to murder Keeler. Edgecomb needed Keeer’s help with a court trial and Keeler failed to show up. From doing so and the news of the hostage and the already suspicions of Profumo and Keeler the press made a shcokignheadling of : “WAR MINISTER SHOCK”.When the House of commons discovered the news they intended to keep it a secret for parliemntary privilege but on June 5thProfumo confessed he lied about some details of the testimony of the relationship he had with Keeler.He then resigned from parlimentary membership, cabinet position, and from the Privy Council.
