4. Define the scope of project, and objectives.
Research the competition (competitive analysis, data), users (observation, interviews,
surveys), best practices (Whats been working for us? what works for others?)
Apply what has been learned to build tools that will help inform the design process
such as personas, use cases and red routes.
Create sketches, doodles, prototypes, wireframes and any other deliverable that fits the
scope of the project and successfully expresses all design needs.
Test the designs and ideas with others to expose pain and pleasure points, and UI/IA
issues.
Iterate and adapt. Shift focus as required. Rinse, repeat.
