1. Job purpose & Scope:
Supervises and coordinates all sea traffic, stevedoring and supply activities in line with HSE
objectives.

3 Principal Accountabilities
a. Supervise and coordinates incoming and outgoing cargoes to and from Ports. Ensure both
physical movements, distribution of goods and associated paperwork is completed satisfactorily.
b. Prepares in-bound and out-bound cargo reports, cargo manifest and sailing instruction.
c. Carries out physical checks of incoming and outgoing materials and submits damage reports where
necessary.
d. Ensures optimum utilization of shipping space for outbound cargoes from Ports jetty.
e. Supervises the loading and off-loading operation and the involved staff
f. Depending on operational requirements, coordinate shipping movements in consultation with other sites.
g. Prepares shipping statistical data and relevant graphs on monthly basis.
h. Arrange and coordinates the (Fuel / Water) supply to the tugboats at Ports Jetty and Terminal.

objectives.
k. Ensure Safety of Shipping operation staff as per HSE Objective.
l. Liaise with COMPANY’S HSE on all noxious cargo shipments and ensure safety standards are
adhered to as per HSE Policy
4.. Organizational Relationships (Work Contacts):
Regular contacts with service users, extended to all COMPANY’S eternal installation up to Supervisor &
Superintendent level.
5. Independence of Operations and Decision-making Authority:
Operates in accordance with company procedures and normal shipping procedures. Independent action is
limited to decisions concerning dispatch of materials and acceptance or refusal of materials and the boat
program (cargo and destinations).
6. Physical Effort:
Approx. 60% of the work time will be spent
standing, walking or driving whilst supervising the
shipping operations.
7. Work Environment:
Approx. 60% of the work time is spent outdoor where
the incumbent will be exposed to prevailing weather
conditions.
8. Minimum Requirements:
a. Completion of Secondary School + 7 years experience, preferably in Oil Companies
b. Knowledge of Computer applications is a must.
