This document discusses several types of upratna or minor gemstones used in Ayurveda and their properties. It describes seven main upratna - Suryakanta, Chandrakanta, Rajavarta, Perojaka, Sphatikamani, Vyomasma and their qualities, purification processes, medicinal properties and recommended dosages. For example, it states that Suryakanta is a lens-shaped stone that produces fire when kept in sunlight and is used to treat various disorders like cough and obesity. Chandrakanta soothes disorders related to pitta and the moon.
Rasa shastra is a most important and popular branch of Ayurveda It deals with the knowledge related to alchemy( Lohavedh) and Ayurvedic Pharmaceutics specially connected to the drugs of mineral origin with a view to remove poverty from the world and to strengthen the body and also to prevent their ageing process. History of Rasa Shastra can be traced in pre vedic period where metals are successfully employed in treatment of various diseases. Its development was rapid after Lord Buddha and the influence of the philosophy of Ahimsa. This was the era when Rasa Shastra flourished tremendously. It was recognized as a medical science with an independent philosophical background in 14th century, by Madhavacharya in his book Sarva Darsana Samgraha. Considering the importance of this discipline in Ayurvedic therapeutics and the fact that there is dearth of comprehensive review on the subject an attempt has been made in this review to provide a brief but all encompassing coverage of different aspects related to it. The benefits of music include enjoyment, bringing joy and peace to both performers and listeners, and uses in health therapy.
The document provides musical notation for a Carnatic music composition in the Raga Malahari and tala Chaturashra Rupaka. It includes the lyrics and musical notation across multiple paragraphs with the title, composer information, and copyright at the beginning and end.
Find the Formula: Basic Formulae in Physics for StudentsMeera Raghu

This document summarizes Andrew Brust's presentation on using the Microsoft platform for big data. It discusses Hadoop and HDInsight, MapReduce, using Hive with ODBC and the BI stack. It also covers Hekaton, NoSQL, SQL Server Parallel Data Warehouse, and PolyBase. The presentation includes demos of HDInsight, MapReduce, and using Hive with the BI stack.
This presentation teaches students how to play recorder by guiding them through an interactive lesson on the basics. It covers identifying the parts of the recorder, how to hold it properly, fingering techniques to produce different notes, music notation on the staff, and teaches the song "Hot Cross Buns" as a first song. The goal is for students who join mid-year to learn the fundamentals of playing recorder through self-paced practice of the material.
The document provides 9 tips for improving study skills: 1) Give full attention to lectures and take detailed notes; 2) Closely observe diagrams and demonstrations; 3) Read notes within a few hours and highlight important concepts; 4) Revise notes within 24 hours and a few days later to better understand and retain information; 5) Practice writing down key points to reinforce learning; 6) Make drawings and charts to visualize concepts and practice problem-solving; 7) Discuss topics with others to share knowledge; 8) Clarify any doubts with teachers or peers; 9) Take brief periods of silent contemplation daily to refresh the mind and enhance memory and concentration.
Interested in learning Hadoop, but you’re overwhelmed by the number of components in the Hadoop ecosystem? You’d like to get some hands on experience with Hadoop but you don’t know Linux or Java? This document provides guidance on examining the abdomen through inspection, palpation, percussion, and assessment of lymph nodes. It describes how to divide the abdomen into regions and examine the liver, spleen, kidneys, and other organs through palpation. Specific techniques are outlined for palpating the edges of the liver and spleen to check for enlargement. Percussion is also described as an assessment method to distinguish between organs and detect fluid in the abdomen. The overall examination involves thorough inspection, superficial and deep palpation, and focused assessment of abdominal organs and lymph nodes.

It discusses what Hadoop and HDInsight are, how to set up and configure Hadoop clusters on Azure, how to perform common administration tasks, how data is stored and processed using MapReduce, how to write and run MapReduce jobs in different languages, and how to monitor and query Hadoop jobs and data using tools like Hive, Pig, and Excel.
Amazon Web Service and Microsoft Azure are dominating the enterprise public cloud market, but how are they different? Here’s what you need to know.
There are plenty of differences between AWS and Azure, probably too many to mention in a single webinar. AWS and Azure take generally different approaches and offer some unique services. From our experience with enterprise customers, we found that the commoditized services are often the most important ones. Everybody has a solution for security, access and storage, but how are those solutions different? Will mastering one Cloud platform give me the knowledge I need to operate the other?
Join us in our upcoming webinar, all about the differences in some of the public cloud’s most basic (and vital) services. Watch this webinar to learn about:
