Interested in learning Hadoop, but you’re overwhelmed by the number of components in the Hadoop ecosystem? You’d like to get some hands on experience with Hadoop but you don’t know Linux or Java? This session will focus on giving a high level explanation of Hive and HiveQL and how you can use them to get started with Hadoop without knowing Linux or Java.
Introduction to HDInsight Hadoop on Windows Azure services, including using the interactive console with JavaScript and running WordCount via other methods (Streaming, Hive, etc..)
Amazon Web Service and Microsoft Azure are dominating the enterprise public cloud market, but how are they different? Here’s what you need to know.
There are plenty of differences between AWS and Azure, probably too many to mention in a single webinar. AWS and Azure take generally different approaches and offer some unique services. From our experience with enterprise customers, we found that the commoditized services are often the most important ones. Everybody has a solution for security, access and storage, but how are those solutions different? Will mastering one Cloud platform give me the knowledge I need to operate the other?
Join us in our upcoming webinar, all about the differences in some of the public cloud’s most basic (and vital) services. Watch this webinar to learn about:
The major players in today’s enterprise public cloud market
5 important differences between Azure and AWS
How a single pane of glass can compensate for these differences

A brief comparison between two cloud platforms AWS vs. Azure. Compare Microsoft Azure services, pricing, customers and more with Amazon AWS through slides.
Azure vs AWS Best Practices: What You Need to KnowRightScale
Azure is now the clear #2 in public cloud behind AWS. While some cloud users are evaluating Azure vs. AWS, many enterprises are planning to use both cloud providers. But there are some notable differences between how the two clouds operate and the best practices for deploying workloads in each.
The Azure vs. AWS Best Practices: What You Need to Know webinar will cover:
Recent and coming enhancements for Azure.
Azure vs. AWS differences for compute, networking, and storage.
Best practices for cloud deployments in Azure and AWS.
How to use both Azure and AWS.
Introduction to Microsoft’s Hadoop solution (HDInsight)James Serra
Did you know Microsoft provides a Hadoop Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)? It’s called Azure HDInsight and it deploys and provisions managed Apache Hadoop clusters in the cloud, providing a software framework designed to process, analyze, and report on big data with high reliability and availability. HDInsight uses the Hortonworks Data Platform (HDP) Hadoop distribution that includes many Hadoop components such as HBase, Spark, Storm, Pig, Hive, and Mahout. Join me in this presentation as I talk about what Hadoop is, why deploy to the cloud, and Microsoft’s solution.
Microsoft Azure vs Amazon Web Services (AWS) Services & Feature MappingIlyas F ☁☁☁
If you are a Cloud Architect, Developer, IT Manager, Director or whoever may be, if you are associated with Azure or AWS cloud in some form, I’m sure you must have come across a common question.
“What is the alternate service available in Azure or AWS vice versa and it’s pricing?” I’m sure you will say yes!
Agreed, it’s hard to remember all the services offered by public clouds, i.e. Azure and AWS. Remembering existing services and their benefits itself is a big task, on top of that updating ourselves with the new feature releases and enhancements is another major task.
So I put together a Service & Feature Mappings between Microsoft Azure & AWS for my and colleagues quick reference.
I hope you also find this piece informative.
