1. JAPANESE ENCEPHALITIS VACCINE-
Available as live attenuated cell culture derived, inactivated cell culture derived
and inactivated vero cell culture derived.
Live attenuated cell culture is used in national programme in hyper endemic
districts of U.P, West Bengal , Assam and Karnataka with efficacy of 85%.
INDICATIONS-
All children and adults residing in highly endemic areas and for individuals
visiting endemic areas for more than 4 weeks.
Inactivated Vero cell culture derived vaccine is also highly immunogenic in
children with >90% seroconversion.
