Jalota Test is a verbal group test designed to assess the general mental ability of adults. It is arranged spirally in an ascending order of difficulty, with items distributed over 9 subtests. Alfred Binet developed the first modern intelligence test, known as the Binet-Simon scale, to identify children who needed extra help in school. William Stern introduced the concept of the intelligence quotient (IQ) to quantify a person's mental age relative to their chronological age.
