Realizing Aipom wasn't trying to run away, the boy continues on to Violet City with Aipom now traveling outside its pokeball.

Looking around, they see unusual sights like half-naked men on a cable car, Buddhist monks on cell phones, and their normally fearless friend Mr. Brown scared. After hearing a scream, the first pair who jumped are nowhere to be seen. Leaning over the railing, the narrator sees only a bouncing blur below. Strapped to the rope by one man, they are sent toward another holding the main rope, who tells them to yell "cheese" before letting go and saying "Jump".

L'objectif de l'ICPP est d'identifier les domaines d'amélioration qui peuvent en fin de compte bénéficier à toutes les parties concernées, des compagnies maritimes aux gouvernements nationaux en passant par les consommateurs. Il est conçu pour servir de point de référence aux principaux acteurs de l'économie mondiale, notamment les autorités et les opérateurs portuaires, les gouvernements nationaux, les organisations supranationales, les agences de développement, les divers intérêts maritimes et d'autres acteurs publics et privés du commerce, de la logistique et des services de la chaîne d'approvisionnement.
Le développement de l'ICPP repose sur le temps total passé par les porte-conteneurs dans les ports, de la manière expliquée dans les sections suivantes du rapport, et comme dans les itérations précédentes de l'ICPP. Cette quatrième itération utilise des données pour l'année civile complète 2023. Elle poursuit le changement introduit l'année dernière en n'incluant que les ports qui ont eu un minimum de 24 escales valides au cours de la période de 12 mois de l'étude. Le nombre de ports inclus dans l'ICPP 2023 est de 405.
Comme dans les éditions précédentes de l'ICPP, la production du classement fait appel à deux approches méthodologiques différentes : une approche administrative, ou technique, une méthodologie pragmatique reflétant les connaissances et le jugement des experts ; et une approche statistique, utilisant l'analyse factorielle (AF), ou plus précisément la factorisation matricielle. L'utilisation de ces deux approches vise à garantir que le classement des performances des ports à conteneurs reflète le plus fidèlement possible les performances réelles des ports, tout en étant statistiquement robuste.

- 2. Ron and I were walking to the bus. Suddenly Ron tripped on a rock! He yanked on the purple fringe on my dress. I fell. I reached out to catch my balance. "Oww!" My hand was bleeding! I started sobbing. "What's the matter Violet?" asked Ron. "Can't you see?" I yelled showing him my hands. Then I saw it. "My fringe!" I yelled. "What?" said Ron. "My fringe has fallen off!" I replied. "What's the problem with an ugly fringe?" asked Ron. "Can't you see?" I yelled. "That was the Legendary Fringe which was supposed to protect me from the legendary curse of Africa," I said.
- 3. "Boy what a day...the Legendary Fringe ripped and I got hurt," I thought. I sighed. I went upstairs to change out of my muddy clothes. I started to change out of my clothes. "Ahhhhhh!!!" I yelled. My skin was all scaly! "The Curse!" I thought. I could not breathe. I had to get to the water! I went out the window. People screamed as I slithered by. Finally I got to the water! I had to get another legendary fringe. I swam all the way to Africa. I couldn't believe how fast I moved. "Okay, let's do this quick," I thought. I slithered through a village. Bombers appeared above me. They stared dropping bombs on me. They bounced off of me, harmlessly. They destroyed hundreds of huts. Out of the smoke something landed on my head. It was a map! I retreated back into the water.
- 4. I studied the map carefully. I started back to Africa. Suddenly sharks surrounded me. A shark attacked me and another and another! After an hour of dodging sharks, I finally broke free. The biggest shark of the group was on my tail! I had Africa in my sight. "Must find Legendary Fringe..." I thought. Suddenly, the biggest shark jumped out of the water.
- 5. The shark came speeding at me. I dodged him. He hit a sharp rock at the bottom. That carnivore was dead! I saw something pink sticking out of the part where the rock had stabbed him. "A legendary fringe!" I thought. I started back home.
- 6. When I got home I stuck the Legendary Fringe on my chest. I jumped out of the water on to the dock and started to head home. But before I even got inside, my mom rushed out and gave me a big hug. "I missed you so much!" said mom.
