1) John, a monster who looks different from others with his green body, pink and purple antennas, blue legs and yellow face, decides to run away from his small city. 2) When he tries to leave, a storm blocks the road and he is forced to stay. The next day, more storms prevent his departure and he eats a protected plant, getting fined $1,000 and having to return home. 3) John's friend Mo-Joe tells him that a new neighbor is moving in who looks just like John. John meets the new monster, they become friends, and everyone lives happily ever after.

2. One day a monster named John that lived in a small city was crying in a shopping cart. His friend
Mo-Joe came to him. "Why are you sobbing?" he said. "I look different" John mumbled. "I have a long
thin green body. I have two pink antennas and two short purple antennas. I have long blue legs and
feet, and a yellow face. I look so different. I know what I have to do. I am going to run away."

3. When he got home he got ready. He went to the main road to leave, but a weatherman closed the
road because of a rainstorm. So he had to stay for the rest of day. All day he was mad. He slammed
his bag on the wall. Then Mo-Joe came and said goodbye peer. "I am leaving tomorrow," said John.
Then Moe-Joe left.

4. The next day he got up and got ready to go. He left. He went outside. The storm blocked the road,
and he did not know what to do. Then he had an idea. He was going to eat the things that fell on to the
road. So he left his house, but if he was going to eat all the things on the road it would take a long
time. Time to begin. He said his tummy was grumbling. He tried "monwed" which was the best food in
his mind. A police officer caught him eating "monwed" which was a protected plant. So, he had to pay
a fee of $1,000.00. He had to go back home.

5. Then Mo-Joe came. He told John that Miss Lilly, his neighbor, was moving and someone was
moving in today. John was amazed that this new person looked just like him! This person had a long
thin body, two long pink antennas, and two short purple antennas. He had no arms, blue legs with blue
feet, a yellow face, and looked Just like John! So John marched over and introduced himself. They
decided to become friends! After that they did everything together.

6. A week later no one was mean to anyone ever. Ben was 24 and John was 25 and they moved to
the same house. Everyone was happy.
