The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

3. Have you ever celebrated
Christmas? Its ok if you
haven't because this book
will tell you everything
from the little bits of music
you hear to the great
feeling on Christmas
morning. Well, I don't
wanna give away too
much information. Read
the book to lean more!
Introduction
4. Chapter.1.MUSIC
To begin with if you put in a
Christmas cd you might hear
songs like 'Holly Jolly Christmas'
my personal fave, Jingle bells','12
Days of Christmas',and Here
comes Santa Claus'!And did you
know Maine has its very own
Christmas song? What's your
favorite Christmas song?If your
lucky you might hear a couple of
Christmas carolers singing your
favorite Christmas song! A caroler
is a person who comes to your
house, knocks on your door, and
when you answer they sing
Christmas songs for you.
Sometimes they walk along the
streets singing songs.
6. Chapter.2.OUTSIDE
One of the number 1things you need for the
holidays is a tree. You need to bundle up for that
one because you can only find trees outside! It's a
lot of fun to get your Christmas trees. You can find
them at a Christmas tree farm. Once you get a
tree you can bring it home and decorate it. You
can hang ornaments from the branches, you can
put a star on the top, and you can put lights
around it. It's really pretty and bright when its all
done.
SNOW
The snow is so
beautiful. You can play
in it too. snow is so
much fun! once you get
into it you don't want to
get out!

8. Chapter.3.TREATS
Yay! Santa is coming soon so
you've got to put out the cookies an
milk. I bet Santa wold like chocolate
chip cookies and just regular milk,
but its up to you to decide. Oh and if
you love to bake, gingerbread men
are a lot of fun to make. They're
little people with gumdrop buttons
and eyes, frosting smile , and you
can make the trim with any candy
you want.And sometimes you can
make them all frosting.
10. Chapter.4.CHRISTMAS EVE
Yippee!!!! Santa's here and did you
remember to put out the cookies and milk?
Oh, and don't forget the carrots for the
reindeer. Christmas is a lot of fun for
people who believe in Santa. Do you?I do
so I love Christmas. If you're good Santa
gives you presents. But if you're bad he
gives you cole in your stoking. Santa is a
man with a red suit , white fluffy beard ,and
a red hat with a white pompom on it. He
has Elf's which are Santa's little helpers.
They help him make toys for the good girls
and boys and when I say little I mean
small. Oh and Santa has Reindeer that pull
his sleigh. Reindeer are deer that can fly
without wings and they have bells on their
reins.
12. Chapter.5.CHRISTMAS MORNING
Yay! It's Christmas morning. Most of the
time you run into your mom and dads
room and wake them up. Some times
they make you wait a little bit before
presents, but most of the time you go
strait to presents. Now it's time for the
presents from your
mom ,dad ,grandma,grandpa ,aunt ,unc
le ,and consensus they get you what
they think you want and what you want
because they don't know because they
don't live with you. Then it's time for
Santa's presents if you wanted a doll he
got you that if you wanted a R.C car he
got you that. Oh and if you we're good
you get little presents in you stocking.
