Bed Head!

By: Sloane
"Wake up Amelia!" screamed Katrina, as she pounced on Amelia's bed. "Monster sisters can be so
annoying," thought Amelia. She pushed the covers off of herself and got dressed. Then she got her
favorite headband, put it on and went downstairs. Right as she got downstairs, her mother
commented, "You sure have a bed head!" "What are you talking about?" asked Amelia. She ran to the
bathroom and screamed, "My hair!!" Amelia's hair was sticking up all over the place! "Don't worry. We
will talk about your hair after breakfast. You're stranded with it for now." "Not funny!" yelled Amelia.
"How can my hair look this bad!" Amelia yelled. "I put some pretty hair glitter in it and it still
looks bad." "Well," Katrina interrupted, "maybe somebody put some stay-stuck glue in your hair
glitter." "It was you!!!" Amelia exploded. "Well, Katrina or not, you are going to the hairdresser.
Besides, it's Uncle Fred's wedding tonight." After Amelia calmed down, she got up from her chair to get
some cereal. Then, she walked off to the fridge to get some orange juice. She ate and ate then finally
it was time to go to the hairdresser. Amelia walked to the car to get in and froze. "Ummmm Mom....
you left the car key in the car!" "Oh, no!" Katrina wailed.
Amelia wondered when the last time was that her mom got in the car. "I can't believe
you left the keys in the car! You're supposed to be the responsible one! Now we only have
two hours at the hairdresser!" Amelia said, "Don't worry. I'll take this rock and throw it and break the
window." She picked up a rock, threw it at the window. The window broke and glass threw itself at
Katrina and Amelia! "Ah!!" the girls screamed. The glass landed right in front of them. "Anyways..."
Amelia said blushing, "let's get in the car." The family got in the car and her mother screamed, "The
car is out of gas!" "Ah!" screamed the girls.
"Now we only have one hour to get to the hairdresser!" said Amelia, "That means we have to call
the gas place." She handed her mom the phone. The gas truck pulled up into their driveway. An old
man hopped out of the car. He fixed the car, and he drove away. "Where was I ... Oh yes!" The family
got their car fixed and drove to the hairdresser. When Amelia got out of the car, she sprinted to the
door and tugged it open. She ran up to the counter and she said under her breath, "Is there an
appointment for..." The lady interrupted, "Right this way," and beckoned with her finger. Amelia was
lifted up into a seat where she waited. Finally, a lady came back. She cut, snipped and brushed
Amelia's hair. Then, the women faced her toward a mirror. Amelia smiled so big she could make the
world happy.
"I love it!" Amelia cried. Then her mother paid a lot of money and they walked right out of that place.
When they got to the car, Amelia cried, "Thank you so much for the wonderful haircut!" Just then her
mother looked at Katrina and said, "It looks like we will be coming back here pretty soon." Amelia
looked back at her sister and there it was - Katrina's hair looked like a bird made a nest in her hair!
"Here we go again," Amelia thought...
