• Project Engineer and Lead RF Engineer with direct reports. Responsible for all stages of design and development of
next generation QRM product, as well as, the break-through head-end products for the cable industry, used in CMTS
and MPEG video transmission.

• Responsible for System Design, RF, digital, ultra-low noise power distribution and mixed signal circuit design, signal
integrity, thermal considerations, component selection, performance verification and stability, MTBF validation and

• Lead RF engineer for new QRM projects for CATV systems. Designing system architecture characteristics needed
for high-dynamic range RF performance, including compensation algorithms.
• Successfully designed and developed major RF circuits, and prototypes, for the leading-edge products that were a key
in the acquisition of Broadband Innovations.
• Hands-on design and development experience: Actively involved in development of new generation products.
Selection and design of the PLL circuit (broadband rational synthesizer). In-house low phase noise VCxO. Design
and development of the improved version of the narrowband microstrip IF/RF filters, development and optimization
of various circuits: RF attenuators, mixers, XILO/VCxO, LNAs, circuit impedance matching, tunable harmonic
notches, RF amplifiers and various compensation circuits to improve performance.
• Project Engineer for 2nd and 3rd generation of digital/analog Upconverter products and its derivatives. (Latest
version of this design is still in production by Arris).
• Coordinating design engineers’ work, holding weekly status meetings and review meetings; Delegating tasks to
electrical and mechanical engineers, as well as reviewing the results of those efforts.
• System redesign and design and optimization of digital, mixed signal, RF and power circuits to further improve
performance, replace obsolete parts and cost reduction.
• Monte Carlo analysis of circuits’ stability over component and PCB tolerances, aging, temperature and humidity.
• Designing solutions and optimizing various circuits for Agile Programmable Upconverter products development.
• Design of the signal pre-shaping notch that improves LO leakage performance (joint patent filed).
• Developed tuning techniques for the ultra-narrowband microstrip filters, and production tuning station. Created and
maintained Tuning Station Documentation. During initial production rollout, had an active on-site role of supervising
production, training CM staff and resolving performance problems.
