The Great Oaks Elementary art program follows a sequential curriculum based on the four disciplines of art: aesthetics, critical analysis, art history, and art production. Students develop their aesthetic perception, learn formal art criticism methods, study historical artworks, and acquire skills in various media to creatively express ideas. The art education aims to help students analyze problems and find creative solutions, providing an important attribute for any career. A variety of art careers are highlighted that utilize the skills learned through visual arts education.
