The purpose of this research is to review the principles of Islamic economy with reference to injunctions of Islam. This paper presents selected literature relating to the principles of Economics of Islam according to the Holy Quran. The study of the Holy Quran reveals that the basic principles of Islamic Economy are briefly discussed in the Holy Book while the details are elaborated in the Ahadith(Traditions of the Holy Prophet S.A.W). These principles have been transformed into inferred rules by the AIMAS (Mujtahdeen) in the light of the Holy Quran and the Ahadith. To ensure economic equality, Allah the Al mighty, has directed the rich(wealthy) people to share their financial resources with the needy people. This ensures equal distribution of wealth in the society. Through Islamic Economic System, the concept of Welfare State can be successfully implemented, As practically demonstrated by Companions of the Holy Prophet (S.A .W)(Khulafa-ERashideen)During their Rule(Caliphate) for a period of about 30 years. Allah Ta’ala has promised to provide livelihood to every soul, as such; nobody lives without food and the means of livelihood in this way, equality in economic right has been ensured for all. If the principles of Islamic economy are implemented in letter and spirit, it will contribute towards the economic development in the society. An Economic System based on the Quranic principles of equitable society and productive investment can effectively remove much of the chronic economic illnesses as suffered by the Modern Society

link Islamic principles based on the Qur’an, and hadith that in
line with the green microfinance activities. The scope of this
literature review is divided into four main sections: (1) Is
Islamic perspective on economic activities has concern with the
environmental issues?, (2) Why microfinance has an important
role to implementing green microfinance activities?, (3) What's
the link between Islamic principles and green microfinance
activities, (4) Who has responsibilities on the implementation of
green microfinance activities?. Based on Islamic perspective, the
people can run their business as long as they didn’t destroy
environmental. The conservation of environmental very
important to support the sustainability of human life, it's
reflected in The Qur’an and Hadith as the supreme sources of
Islamic law. Furthermore, Islamic finance has a strong
engagement with the microfinance activities, because the main
clients of microfinance are low income people, and the one of
microfinance objectives is related to poverty alleviation.
Furthermore, the majority clients of microfinance are poor
people that also as the contributor of environmental destruction.
Linked to this condition, must be exist appropriate law
enforcement from the government who has the legitimacy to
force microfinance institution for implementing environmental
conservation activities.
Integration of Shariah with Secular Economics will transform the whole spectrum of economic activities into Islamic Economics and thus producing the whole spectrum of Halal Industry.

• Islamic economics is “a social science which studies
the economic problems of a people imbued
(inspired) with the values of Islam” (Mannan)

• The first and the most authentic source of
knowledge about Allah`s commands is Allah`s Book
i.e. the Holy Quran.

human life.

life of man are preserved in this book in the light of
which detailed policies and program may be
designed to resolve economics issues arising in the
every age.

• Next to the Holy Quran, the Sunnah i.e. the example
set by the Allah`s Messenger (sws) is an authentic
source of knowledge.

Allah`s revealed message.

Allah`s Book or Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad
(sws).
• The need for Ijtehad arises in those matters in
which direct guidance is not available in the
Quran and Sunnah.

environmental balance and improvement in
quantity of life may be considered as the four
dimensions of development in Islamic economics.

Money is confined to its basic role of
mediating between production and
consumption.
Monopoly, hoarding and speculation are all
considered as un-Islamic practice.
All prices ,whether of factors of productions
or of products will be then just or fair.

Islamic economics on the nature of profit.
Some writer do not consider profits as reward
for risk taking. Profits are shared between
the supplier or capital and the entrepreneur.

– Modern price theory states that cost is the backbone
of supply theory, it was IBN-KHALDUN who first
examined analytically the role of cost of production
on supply and prices.

originally advanced the theory of profit.
– He also concluded that both excessively low
prices and excessively high prices are disruptive
to markets.
– In fact he discovered what is now known as cost
push and demand pull inflation.
