The lynx lives in forests in Canada and Alaska and stays within its home range. It preys on small animals like snowshoe hares, mice, squirrels, and voles. Female lynx raise their up to 5 kittens alone and lynx can live for 10-15 years. Lynx have large paws, change their coat color between red in the summer and gray in the winter, and have long back legs and a ruff of facial fur.
