This document describes a wireless gas leak detection and localization system for remote vehicles using a wireless sensor network. The system uses a PIC microcontroller interfaced with an MQ-6 gas sensor to detect inflammable gases and an LM35 temperature sensor to monitor engine temperature. If a gas leak is detected above a certain threshold, the system triggers a buzzer and sends an SMS via a wireless transceiver. It can also detect increases in temperature that may indicate a fire. The system aims to remotely detect and locate gas leaks in vehicles to prevent injuries, deaths and environmental damage.
