This document compares bitumen roads to plastic bitumen roads. Various tests were conducted on aggregates with bitumen and with plastic-coated aggregates. The results showed that roads with plastic-coated aggregates had better properties than normal bitumen roads, including lower abrasion, attrition, and crushing values. Additionally, stability values from the Marshall test increased with higher percentages of plastic content in the binder. Therefore, the use of plastic waste in road construction can improve road quality while providing an environmentally-friendly use for plastic waste.
