This document summarizes how iPads are being used to enhance learning at Burley School in Chicago. It describes how: 1) iPads were initially introduced with 32 iPads shared among 125 1st and 2nd grade students, and are now used in a 1-to-1 program in 1st and 5th grades. 2) iPads are used for reading ebooks, creating podcasts and videos, using apps like Google Docs for interactive homework, blogging, and creating digital books and book trailers. 3) Surveys, student reflections and assessment of student work show that iPads are helping to engage students and extend their learning.
