The annual report summarizes digital learning and media initiatives at Ira B. Jones Elementary School for the 2015-2016 school year. Students in grades 1st through 5th utilized Google Apps for Education. Over 500 students participated in maker space activities and the Battle of the Books program. Students engaged in virtual field trips and Skype sessions to learn about other cultures, languages, science topics, and history. Digital tools like augmented reality, stop motion videos, and interactive timelines were used to enhance learning across subjects. The media center circulated over 27,000 items to students, faculty, parents and hosted over 600 class visits during the year.
