The iPod was originally unveiled by Steve Jobs in October 2001. It had a choice of 5GB or 10GB hard drive and an aluminum casing. Over time, Apple improved the iPod by redesigning the scroll wheel to a touch click wheel, designing different models like the Nano and Shuffle, changing the user interface, and adding a backlight. The full touch screen iPod Touch was unveiled in 2007 and allowed applications to be developed.
