IOT – INTERNET OF THING
3. ABOUT IOT (INTERNET OF THING)
FATHER OF IOT
- KEVON ASHTON
Kevin Ashton
Kevin Ashton is sometimes called the
“Inventor of IoT” since the first used the
term in 1999 to describe a system where
the Internet is connected to the physical
world via ubiquitous sensors. He is a
serial entrepreneur and co-founded the
Auto-ID Center at MIT.
4. WHAT IS IOT (INTERNET OF THING)
IOT connect to the internet and device and communicate to each other with common
language. The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to a network of physical devices, vehicles,
appliances and other physical objects that are embedded with sensors, software and
network connectivity that allows them to collect and share data. These devices — also
known as “smart objects” — can range from simple “smart home” devices like smart
thermostats, to wearable's like smart watches and RFID-enabled clothing, to complex
industrial machinery and transportation systems. Technologists are even envisioning entire
“smart cities” predicated on IoT technologies.
IoT enables these smart devices to communicate with each other and with other internet-
enabled devices, like smart phones and gateways, creating a vast network of interconnected
devices that can exchange data and perform a variety of tasks autonomously. This can include
everything from monitoring environmental conditions in farms, to managing traffic patterns
with smart cars and other smart automotive devices, to controlling machines and processes in
factories, to tracking inventory and shipments in warehouses.
5. I – INTERNET = The Internet is a global network of
billions of computers and other electronic devices.
OF
T – THING = Thing is a device like softwere,hardwere
,smart device , sencer which able to communicate.
6. Example of IoT
Top Internet-of-Things (IoT) Examples to Know
Connected cars.
Smart appliances.
Connected security systems.
Smart agriculture equipment.
Connected retail.
Connected healthcare monitors.
Connected manufacturing equipment.
Connected cities.
Whenever you order pizza then you find delivery boy
location and same as OLA this is all part of the IoT.
Blutooth,smart watch, water tank, cctv.
7. IoT collect the data and transfer to the AI then AI
algorithm give action to the IoT In addition, the use of
technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and
Artificial Intelligence (AI) enable increasingly efficient
information management.
8. In which sectors IoT is used?
Agricultural
commercial
industrial
retail management
operations
