Most of the major internet companies have now declared themselves to be mobile first. Smartphones have become ubiquitous throughout the development world. But mobile development is fraught with challenges. There are more Android devices than iOS, but iOS users tend to spend more money. If you build your app for one, it is a complete re-write for the other. You may have heard of Cordova/PhoneGap, but the apps tend to be somewhat clunky looking.
Enter the Ionic Framework, a cross platform framework which combines PhoneGap with AngularJS and super fast CSS3 to make apps which perform at near native levels.

Building and scaling great teams isn’t just something that managers do alone, with spreadsheets and workflows and process documents. Great teams come from the participation of the group to push the team there. In this talk we will investigate how you can think about your role in scaling a high-performance team, whatever your job title. From interviewing future coworkers, to communicating with your colleagues, to dealing with failure and growing as a individual and group, we will go through some of the challenges that come with scaling a culture, and how everyone on the team plays a part in its success.
So we're running Apache ZooKeeper. Now What? By Camille Fournier Hakka Labs
The ZooKeeper framework was originally built at Yahoo! to make it easy for the company’s applications to access configuration information in a robust and easy-to-understand way, but it has since grown to offer a lot of features that help coordinate work across distributed clusters. Apache Zookeeper became a de-facto standard for coordination service and used by Storm, Hadoop, HBase, ElasticSearch and other distributed computing frameworks.

iOS Development Survival Guide for the .NET GuyNick Landry
Download the demo Xcode project from: http://db.tt/14dtriGU
SESSION ABSTRACT
You’ve been a .NET developer for the last 10 years. You love Visual Studio. You can spit out C# like a boy scout can tie a knot. But now your boss wants you to build an iPad app for the company. Or maybe you got a good deal on a Mac on eBay and you’ll finally write that cool iPhone app that will top the other 600K in the iOS App Store. So where do you get started? What development environment do you use? How do you write apps in Objective-C compared to C#? What other tools & libraries can you use? This session is your survival guide to the world of iOS development as seen from the eyes of a .NET developer. We’ll start from the basics and build our first iOS app, using analogies and comparisons from the familiar world of Visual Studio and .NET as our guide. We’ll also discuss how to structure our app project, how to test & deploy our app, and we’ll even take a quick look at some of the new developer features in iOS 7.
We'll also discuss how to cloud-enable your apps using Microsoft Azure Mobile Services, which features native support for iOS developers.
You’ll learn to blend in with the Apple crowd and talk like a true native in no time! If you’ve ever considered dipping your toes in the iWaters, this session is your chance to take your first dive.

Few months ago, Codenvy released a great tutorial about “Creating an eXo Factory Using Codenvy and Docker” http://blog.codenvy.com/creating-codenvy-factory-exo-extensions-development which gave great details about how eXo, Codenvy and Docker can work together to give developers an easy way to code eXo add-ons.
In this presentation we will bring insights about how we used Codenvy’s Factories (with Docker recipes) to give developers a one-click easy way to begin coding eXo Add-ons.
eXoers on the Grill aims to provide some incentive & fresh air for our staff in order to constantly re-think our methods, spread good practices, promote some technology or tools, generate ideas, etc... All the teams are invited to contribute by picking up some hot topics of their choice and spread to other teams.
SwissJUG_Bringing the cloud back down to earth.pptxGrace Jansen
How can we effectively develop for the cloud, when we as developers are coding back down on earth? This is where effective cloud-native developer tools can enable us to either be transported into the cloud or alternatively, to bring the cloud back down to earth. But what tools should we be using for this? In this session, we’ll explore some of the useful OSS tools and technologies that can used by developers to effectively develop, design and test cloud-native Java applications.
This presentation was used during a lecture I delivered in Hive Pilani 2015 on Firefox OS and Firefox OS App Development for newbies.
The presentation aims to educate the audience enough to smooth the move to actual Firefox OS Development. The presentation therefore covers topics such as - Architecture, Bootstrap Process, Layer View of the OS etc.

Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message
Join us to learn more about this new, human-in-the-loop capability, brought to you by Integration Service connectors.

Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms.
