This document provides an overview of Lory State Park in Colorado, including its geological features and recreational activities. It describes three sites within the park - Arthur's Gulch containing some of the oldest metamorphic and igneous rocks in the Rocky Mountains over 1.7 billion years old, the Fountain Formation exhibiting red sedimentary rocks formed 310-290 million years ago, and a cross bed/channel structure showing evidence of past uplift.
