Designed to help commercial systems integrators (dealers, installers, and salespeople) understand and make the financial case for commercial PV systems including specifics for the local/nearby utilities (depending on location), then understand how to finance them with PPAs and Leases.
This class helps PV dealers, installers, and salespeople make the best and most accurate financial case to their customers to help them make more sales and open more eyes to the value of solar systems.
Andy Black provides an overview of solar electric (PV) system costs and approximate savings for residential systems. He provides detailed information on state & federal incentives available and how to apply and use them. These include rebates, performance based incentives, and tax credits. He will explain the choices for electric rate structures and the advantages of each relative to building load profile, system design, and site specifics (shading, orientation, etc). Andy will discuss the various methods of performing financial analyses in conjunction with the savings realized. Financial analysis methods presented will include Simple Payback, Total Lifecycle Payback, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Cash Flow analysis, and Appraisal Resale Value. Interactive examples of residential sites will be provided, including discussion of the salient differences and advantages of each method. The assumptions and variables that affect each analysis will also be presented including inflation, maintenance expenses, and interest rates.

Energy plays a pivotal role in our daily activities. The degree of development and civilization of a country is measured by the amount of utilization of energy by human beings. Energy demand is increasing day by day due to increase in population,
urbanization and industrialization. The world’s fossil fuel supply viz. coal, petroleum and natural gas will thus be depleted in a few hundred years. The rate of energy consumption increasing, supply is depleting resulting in inflation and energy shortage. This is called energy crisis. Hence alternative or renewable sources of energy have to be developed to meet future energy requirement.
Andy Black, experienced salesperson and marketer of PV systems, shares his knowledge about creating and closing business. First covered, a marketing overview, and discussion of effective and ineffective marketing strategies, with a deep look at lead generation. We then look at Sales Organizations, and the benefits, costs, and issues of sales staff. Sales structures, compensation, contracts, property ownership, and termination issues will also be covered. An in depth look at the sales cycle with interactive examples of the processes, interactions and systems Andy has developed and successfully used for several years. This section will include discussion and interactive examples of lead screening, site visits, proposal preparation and presentation, closing, documentation and writing up the sale.

China’s Solar Industry and the U.S. Anti-Dumping/Anti-Subsidy Trade Casechinaglobaltrade
This report by ChinaGlobalTrade.com covers the anti-subsidy and anti-dumping trade case against Chinese manufacturers of solar cells, which is currently entering its final stages of investigation at the U.S. Department of Commerce. The report offers a balanced, fact-based discussion of the trade case; an exploration of how China's solar industry has grown so big so fast; and a thorough analysis of what might be the consequences – many of them likely unintended – of 35 percent tariffs on U.S. imports of solar cells from China. For a new sense of how the solar industry got to where it is and where we should go from here – a path that mutually benefits us all – check out the solar manufacturing report here.
Innovation, Investment, Influence and Impact: design that fosters changeFranco Papeschi
Slides for the talk I gave at Interaction13 - Toronto.
In the past 15 years, while designers were learning how to create products, services and interactions that guarantee a return on investment, the world of businesses was changing. Economic return is not the only measurement now for value-driven businesses, many start-ups, social enterprises, community-based organisations, NGOs and even for corporations. This upcoming economic model is focused on the impact that new products and service have on societies and economies. We, as designers, are not fully ready to plan and assess what impact our work will have on the users and customers we aim to engage. In this session, I'll present an approach that goes beyond user-centred design and activity-centred design: impact-driven design. I will introduce some examples taken from my involvement in the creation of start-ups in different African countries, and I will introduce a series of tools and practices that would help Interaction Designers go beyond their remit of creating useful, usable and engaging experience, and create impactful services.

Financial Assets: Debit vs Equity Securities.pptxWrito-Finance
financial assets represent claim for future benefit or cash. Financial assets are formed by establishing contracts between participants. These financial assets are used for collection of huge amounts of money for business purposes.
Two major Types: Debt Securities and Equity Securities.
Debt Securities are Also known as fixed-income securities or instruments. The type of assets is formed by establishing contracts between investor and issuer of the asset.
• The first type of Debit securities is BONDS. Bonds are issued by corporations and government (both local and national government).
• The second important type of Debit security is NOTES. Apart from similarities associated with notes and bonds, notes have shorter term maturity.
• The 3rd important type of Debit security is TRESURY BILLS. These securities have short-term ranging from three months, six months, and one year. Issuer of such securities are governments.
• Above discussed debit securities are mostly issued by governments and corporations. CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSITS CDs are issued by Banks and Financial Institutions. Risk factor associated with CDs gets reduced when issued by reputable institutions or Banks.
Following are the risk attached with debt securities: Credit risk, interest rate risk and currency risk
There are no fixed maturity dates in such securities, and asset’s value is determined by company’s performance. There are two major types of equity securities: common stock and preferred stock.
Common Stock: These are simple equity securities and bear no complexities which the preferred stock bears. Holders of such securities or instrument have the voting rights when it comes to select the company’s board of director or the business decisions to be made.
Preferred Stock: Preferred stocks are sometime referred to as hybrid securities, because it contains elements of both debit security and equity security. Preferred stock confers ownership rights to security holder that is why it is equity instrument
Equity securities as a whole is used for capital funding for companies. Companies have multiple expenses to cover. Potential growth of company is required in competitive market. So, these securities are used for capital generation, and then uses it for company’s growth.
Concluding remarks
Both are employed in business. Businesses are often established through debit securities, then what is the need for equity securities. Companies have to cover multiple expenses and expansion of business. They can also use equity instruments for repayment of debits. So, there are multiple uses for securities. As an investor, you need tools for analysis. Investment decisions are made by carefully analyzing the market. For better analysis of the stock market, investors often employ financial analysis of companies.
how to sell pi coins in South Korea profitably.DOT TECH
Yes. You can sell your pi network coins in South Korea or any other country, by finding a verified pi merchant
What is a verified pi merchant?
Since pi network is not launched yet on any exchange, the only way you can sell pi coins is by selling to a verified pi merchant, and this is because pi network is not launched yet on any exchange and no pre-sale or ico offerings Is done on pi.
Since there is no pre-sale, the only way exchanges can get pi is by buying from miners. So a pi merchant facilitates these transactions by acting as a bridge for both transactions.
How can i find a pi vendor/merchant?
Well for those who haven't traded with a pi merchant or who don't already have one. I will leave the what'sapp number of my personal pi merchant who i trade pi with.
