PebblePad?
What is PebblePad?
• Personal Learning Space
• Allows for creation of various. reusable
assets that track a user’s learning and
experiences.
• Can be used for e-portfolios, workbooks,
CVs, blogs, websites, assessment and
feedback…
• Focus on refection.
• Material can be accessed by
users forever.
What is PebblePad?
• “PebblePad is a personal learning space
whose prime purpose is to provide a place
and a process to record learning
experiences, encouraging learners to
become accountable for themselves and
their learning. It is about recording things
learners do, things they are planning to do,
or things they are proud of”.
The different parts of PebblePad
• Pebble+
– Where materials are created.
• ATLAS
– “Active Teaching Learning and Assessment
Space”.
– The “back-end” where user admin, feedback,
grading, etc. happens.
Asset or Resource?
• Resource:
– A blank form to be taken and filled in.
• Asset:
– Something that has been created using a
resource.
Demonstration
• Creating an asset
• Creating a Collection
• Creating a Webfolio
• Sharing material
• Creating a Workbook
• ATLAS
Workbooks
• A collection of resources which can be used
by yourself or others.
– Can give all work together in one resource.
– Don’t need to train students to build own assets.
– Can be auto-submitted and viewed by instructors
at any time.
– Reports can be run off from any part of the
workbook
– Can be updated and edited even when work is in
progress
– Students cannot change structure or add new
pages.
