Looking ahead into the future and predict
possible trends or occurrences which are
likely to influence the working situation is the
most vital quality as well as job of a manager.
Planning means setting an organization’s
goal and deciding how best to achieve them.
Organizing can be defended as the process by
which the established plans are moved closer
to realization. Once a manager set goals and
develops plans, his next managerial function
is organizing human and other resources that
are identified as necessary by the plan to
reach the goal.
The third basic managerial function is
leading. The skill to influencing people for a
particular purpose or reason is called leading.
Leading is considered to be the most
important and challenging of all managerial
activities. Leading is influencing or
prompting the member of the organization to
work together the interest of the organization.
Control activities generally relate to the
measurement of achievement or results of
actions which were taken to attain the goal.
Some means of controlling, like the budget
for expenses, inspection records, and the
record of labor hours lost, are generally
familiar. Each measure also shows whether
plans are working out. Motivating their
employees.
Production oriented firm:
It deals with in Mass production.
Product oriented firm:
Concentrate on product design.
Sales oriented firm:
It develop a sales and promotion department.
Marketing oriented firm:
Develop of Marketing strategies.
Market research:
Identifying customer needs.
Product planning and deployment:
Creating product to satisfy these needs
Pricing:
Determining the value placed on the product by customers
Distribution:
The movement of the product to customer.
Promotion:
Promotion is a communication that includes advertising.
 Introduction Stage – This stage of the cycle could be the most expensive for a
company launching a new product. The size of the market for the product is
small, which means sales are low, although they will be increasing. On the other
hand, the cost of things like research and development, consumer testing, and
the marketing needed to launch the product can be very high, especially if it’s a
competitive sector.
 Growth Stage – The growth stage is typically characterized by a strong growth
in sales and profits, and because the company can start to benefit from
economies of scale in production, the profit margins, as well as the overall
amount of profit, will increase. This makes it possible for businesses to invest
more money in the promotional activity to maximize the potential of this growth
stage.
Maturity Stage – During the maturity stage, the product is
established and the aim for the manufacturer is now to maintain the
market share they have built up. This is probably the most
competitive time for most products and businesses need to invest
wisely in any marketing they undertake. They also need to consider
any product modifications or improvements to the production
process which might give them a competitive advantage.
Decline Stage – Eventually, the market for a product will start to
shrink, and this is what’s known as the decline stage. This shrinkage
could be due to the market becoming saturated (i.e. all the customers
who will buy the product have already purchased it), or because the
consumers are switching to a different type of product. While this
decline may be inevitable, it may still be possible for companies to
make some profit by switching to less-expensive production
methods and cheaper markets.

  • 4. Looking ahead into the future and predict possible trends or occurrences which are likely to influence the working situation is the most vital quality as well as job of a manager. Planning means setting an organization’s goal and deciding how best to achieve them.
  • 5. Organizing can be defended as the process by which the established plans are moved closer to realization. Once a manager set goals and develops plans, his next managerial function is organizing human and other resources that are identified as necessary by the plan to reach the goal.
  • 6. The third basic managerial function is leading. The skill to influencing people for a particular purpose or reason is called leading. Leading is considered to be the most important and challenging of all managerial activities. Leading is influencing or prompting the member of the organization to work together the interest of the organization.
  • 7. Control activities generally relate to the measurement of achievement or results of actions which were taken to attain the goal. Some means of controlling, like the budget for expenses, inspection records, and the record of labor hours lost, are generally familiar. Each measure also shows whether plans are working out. Motivating their employees.
  • 8. Production oriented firm: It deals with in Mass production. Product oriented firm: Concentrate on product design. Sales oriented firm: It develop a sales and promotion department. Marketing oriented firm: Develop of Marketing strategies.
  • 9. Market research: Identifying customer needs. Product planning and deployment: Creating product to satisfy these needs Pricing: Determining the value placed on the product by customers Distribution: The movement of the product to customer. Promotion: Promotion is a communication that includes advertising.
  • 10.  Introduction Stage – This stage of the cycle could be the most expensive for a company launching a new product. The size of the market for the product is small, which means sales are low, although they will be increasing. On the other hand, the cost of things like research and development, consumer testing, and the marketing needed to launch the product can be very high, especially if it’s a competitive sector.  Growth Stage – The growth stage is typically characterized by a strong growth in sales and profits, and because the company can start to benefit from economies of scale in production, the profit margins, as well as the overall amount of profit, will increase. This makes it possible for businesses to invest more money in the promotional activity to maximize the potential of this growth stage.
  • 11. Maturity Stage – During the maturity stage, the product is established and the aim for the manufacturer is now to maintain the market share they have built up. This is probably the most competitive time for most products and businesses need to invest wisely in any marketing they undertake. They also need to consider any product modifications or improvements to the production process which might give them a competitive advantage. Decline Stage – Eventually, the market for a product will start to shrink, and this is what’s known as the decline stage. This shrinkage could be due to the market becoming saturated (i.e. all the customers who will buy the product have already purchased it), or because the consumers are switching to a different type of product. While this decline may be inevitable, it may still be possible for companies to make some profit by switching to less-expensive production methods and cheaper markets.
