Brian Washburn will share his over 15 years of experience in training and development to help others improve their presentation skills. He got a BA in political science but did not expect to have a career speaking publicly. Through the Peace Corps and teaching GED classes, he gained experience presenting to people and now works in corporate training. Good presentations can change the world if people pay attention, so he will provide tips to help attendees develop their skills and potentially change the world with their own presentations.

2. Hi. I’m Brian Washburn. And I’d
like to tell you a little about myself
before I get into my presentation.

3. I got my BA in Political Science
from The George Washington
University. At the time, there’s no
way I would have predicted that
I’d have a career in which I had to
get in front of people and speak.

4. I spent some time in the Peace
Corps which is where I first began
presenting to people.
I later worked at a youth center
teaching GED classes.
And then I finally moved into a
more corporate training role.

5. I’ve been in the field of training
and development for over 15 years
now. And I’d like to share some of
my experiences with you today so
that you can develop and improve
your own presentation skills.

presentation can change the world.
