CONTRASTS:
 INTONATION - rise and fall of the voice
pitch, modulation.
 STRESS – the accent/emphasis of a
syllable.
 ENUNCIATION – diction, wording,
pronunciation.
Use the right intonation to achieve the purpose or feeling
indicated. Provide the appropriate stress in the words that
are highlighted.
Sentence Purpose/Feeling
You want flowers.
You want flowers?
Eric, your friend, gave me flowers.
