WTF - Why the Future Is Up to Us - pptx versionTim O'Reilly
This is the talk I gave January 12, 2017 at the G20/OECD Conference on the Digital Future in Berlin. I talk about fitness landscapes as applied to technology and business, the role of unchecked financialization in the state of our politics and economy, and why technology really wants to create jobs, not destroy them. (There is a separate PDF version, but some readers said the notes were too fuzzy to read.)
Keynote address (Feb, 2016) to the educators in the Fort Nelson school district. We all know that we cannot teach a child without a concection... without a relationship. In the hustle and bustle of our jobs as educators, we often forget our why, the reason we got into education, of trying to make a difference with kids. In this talk, 6 Keys to Connecting are shared and discussed with the challenge of creating a more positive climate and better connections with kids in our classrooms, schools, and organizations.
With the explosion of the maker movement, schools are beginning to embrace creativity. However, what does this mean for assessment? Should we assess the creative process? Should we assess the finished product? Does assessing creativity actually make kids more risk-averse? In this workshop we explore what it means to assess both the creative process and the creative product without leading to risk aversion.

Production of aluminum (emphasis on energy and materials requirements) Thanos Paraschos
Aluminum is produced commercially using Bayer process and Hell- Héroult process. Besides scrap recycling and reuse of aluminum hydroxide contribute to total production. Bauxite is crushed, digested, precipitated, and calcined resulting in alumina. The alumina is then reduced to aluminum by electrolysis. The worldwide Al production is 41.1 million tons in 2010. The global average in energy is consumption is about 15kWh/kg of Al. The production process is energy intensive and used about 3% of global electricity production in 2010.

Interview

This video gave great advice for the resume and interview process. Having already served on my school’s admin team, I have assisted with dozens of interviews and I can tell you that I have seen every one of the “mistakes” the panel mentioned. I have seen candidates arrive in dirty/stained clothes, candidates who were far too relaxed and assumed they had the job just because they showed up for the interview, and worst of all, those that refused to stop talking. My principal and I interviewed one man for over an hour because he rambled on and on. He had some good qualities but we could not see him as an effective teacher.
I think the most important idea the panel presented for me, was not to assume that your interviewer knows you. This issue was addressed by Cunningham and it most definitely applies to me because I have been in a small district for eighteen years and most of the current principals worked with me in some capacity before they were administrators. It will be important for me balance fami ...
What are the most effective ways To Search Latest Job Openings in India_ (1)....Richa Verma
There are methods for every aspect of our world, but is there a way to consistently search for a job in India? People in India frequently change work, and there are plenty of opportunities to do so. This ppt will assist you in Searching Latest Job Openings in India.
3. Interviews are judged on the personality of the person which
becomes a real problem for the people who do not qualify for
the conventional yet flawed sense of attractiveness.
The language barrier is one of the biggest issues amongst the
relatively lesser educated workforce. This leads to them
losing out on crucial opportunities as the interviewer is not
impressed with how they converse.
Some gender biased occupational roles like nurses that have
no significance with the competency of the worker are
required to be done away with. This won’t be really possible
without removing the interview stage from the selection
procedure.
4. It is also illogical to judge a person’s competencies on the
performance of only a few minutes. It might look justified in
theory, but as the actual things stand, it is a highly unlikely
scenario for even the best of psychiatrist experts.
It is more justified to select or reject someone’s candidature
for a job of peon by some inability in delivering better
service instead of their inability to crack a language
interaction.
It has often been observed, particularly in India that the
interview panelists tend to be biased in favor of as well as
against some communities. This is a pretty unreasonable yet
true issue that comes attached with interviews in India.
5. How Just Jobs is
helping getting rid
of interview
menace?
6. The profile of the candidates on Just Jobs is designed in order to give
all the relevant information about the candidates and therefore
doesn’t require the employer to dig any deeper.
The experience columns on the portal are far more pronounced
than other details. This helps in ensuring that the candidates are
evaluated on their relevant competencies.
There is no ‘interview’ module setup by Just Jobs which could lead to
able and eligible candidates losing on opportunities.
