NEON VISIONS
INTERVIEW
An interview with the stars of Neon Visions was never going to be an easy
and peaceful affair, there is giggling and shrieking but the room is filled with
energy and fun.
There is a lot to catch up with today with Neon Visions, one of these being
their anticipated comeback with their exciting and catchy new single Show
Me What You Got, so we sat down to find out what’s really going on with
Britain’s biggest girl band.
Your new single is an amazing piece of pop. What has the reaction
been like?
Lisa: It’s been such a brilliant response, the fans couldn’t have had a better
reaction and it it couldn’t have been better, it’s nice that everyone is happy to
see us back.
Although we know you’re together now and enjoying your career, what
was behind all the delays with the album and split rumours?
Harriet: When we recorded the album last year, we all sat and listened to it
and we all realised it wasn’t up to our usual standard. We knew we had to
start again because we only want to produce the best music for our fans.
Eleasha: It was the media that started to speculate about us splitting up or
falling out because of the album being released later, but that wasn’t the
case at all. We were just working really hard.
Lisa: The rumours didn’t impact us as a band at all, we know how close we
all are and what’s really happening, that’s all that matters.
Eleasha: The worst part of all the rumours was the fans getting worried, it
was awful. We all just wanted to comfort them and tell them it wasn’t true,
but none of us can ever control what the media says.
How was filming your new music video for Show Me What You Got?
Harriet: Oh my god it was so fun, we were actually shooting the video for two
days and I was so excited to start filming it. It didn’t even feel like we were
working, it felt like we were having a party with our friends.
Lisa: It was so good I wish we could do it every day, but touring and making
the album is still really fun.
What has been your biggest fashion disaster?
Harriet: I think it was probably towards the start of our career when we were
just coming into the spotlight.
Eleasha: Yeah I agree, I remember going to this award show in this hideous
dress but our stylist had told us to wear it but it was just disgusting
Lisa: I think the good thing is that we have never worn clothes that would
intimidate younger girls, none of us really wear expensive or designer
brands, so I think that’s good because then our fans can see what we’re
wearing and try to recreate a similar look if they want.
Eleasha: Yeah, we’re not these figures that young girls can’t relate to at all; I
like that we’re all fairly normal young girls just having fun.
What has been your favourite outfit so far?
Harriet: I just love being in my comfy clothes all the time, I love dressing up
but sometimes I want to slob about in my pyjamas.
Lisa: I loved all our outfits at an award show last year, we were all
coordinated but not in a tacky way and we spent hours getting ready.
Eleasha: Usually I hate getting ready but I remember that particular day and
it was like a fun girls pamper day.
Who causes the most trouble?
Lisa: I wouldn’t say i cause the most trouble but I’m definitely the loudest and
probably the one that annoys the other girls the most
Harriet: Yeah, she’s more of the party animal and the loudest out of the three
of us
Eleasha: Even though Lisa is the loudest, Harriet has some dance moves
that just come out of nowhere. We’ll be having a night off or something and
then she’ll just pull these moves from nowhere it’s amazing and hilarious
What are you excited about in the future?
Eleasha: Our new album is more of a different sound and I like that we can
change it up all the time, so I’m looking forward to trying different and new
things with music.
Lisa: I don’t even want to think about the future right now, I’m enjoying the
present and kind of living for the moment so I just take everything as it comes.
Harriet: Honestly just making more music, releasing more album and touring. I
love doing this I’m so happy it worked out well and we’ve been so successful.
