The band ZINC discusses their origins, musical influences, and career goals in an interview. They formed their band 5 years ago and have been inspired by memories from their teenage years. While touring is difficult due to time away from family, it is also their favorite part of the job. Their long term goals are to continue touring worldwide and having number one hits in many countries.
The Boy B Eazy releases his first studio album “Believe, Vol. 1” featuring OT...Keen Ley
1888 Press Release - The Boy B Eazy’s six track EP “Believe, Vol. 1” featuring OTR Qwan and REDDD is a project created to inspire fans around the world on the journey to believe.
When does your health stop being a personal matter and become part of your company’s business continuity plan?
How does a company decide that influenza is a legitimate business concern, but other, more pervasive, debilitating diseases and maladies are not? About 14,000 Americans died of AIDS in 2009, while 3,700 Americans died of H1N1 influenza. Companies distributed masks and gloves to employees for influenza; why not condoms for HIV? The business impact of diet, diabetes and hypertension in the workforce is already far greater than the business impact of influenza, and is likely to be greater in the future, too. This presentation explores – controversially – the risk and likelihood of emerging diseases, often from Asia, and why it should be a legitimate business continuity strategy to tell employees to eat less, drink more water and to take the stairs instead of the elevator.

2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

We chat to the new popular group ‘ZINC’ to get all the latest gossip
and find out some interesting info! ZINC are a fresh current band
who have popped up out of nowhere in the music industry and are
taking the world by storm .Their young hip-hop image is causing right
fashion statements all over the world and seems to be very popular
with younger audiences. Surly this famous life isn’t as good as it
sounds. Or is it??? What inspires you when writing your music?
I suppose us as a group loved our young teenage lives and base our
music around memories we had. We want the current generation to
have what we had so we make our music fresh, dancy and stylish.
Does anyone in particular influence your music? To be honest i think
us together influence each other when coming up with new ideas for
songs, like i said the majority of past albums have been about
memories. However, having said that we do have a lot of artist who
are very inspirational in the sense of how far they have come and
where we would like to see ourselves in a few years. For example
Justin Bieber, Beyoncé, Little MIX and One Direction. They have all
been on a fantastic journey and we would like to follow in their
footsteps. Do you get nervous before going on stage? Erm of course i
don’t think we have ever had a time where we haven’t got
nervous but we think getting nervous before the show is a good
thing because it gives you that rush of adrenaline. All those
butterflies just make you more excited to go out there and do what
we love to do! Perform! What personal advice would you give
someone wanting to pursue this career? I think we would have to say
just be yourself, there is no point in being fake in this industry
because it just doesn’t work. Also just have fun with it, you can’t be
too up tight and bothered about what people think of you.
Everyone is going to have different opinions about you but that’s just
2. life. What is the hardest part of the job? The hardest part of the job
for us has to be the touring side, only because you’re away from
family and friends. Don’t get us wrong we love touring; it’s just
difficult being away for so long. When did you decide to create a
band? We all decided to form ZINC about 5 years ago.
We all knew we wanted to be singers and singer songwriters as our
carers but to be honest our parents thought of the idea of a band.
And about 2 months later we were all in a studio creating our first
album which was called ‘home’. Have you had any struggles along
the way to where you are now? Erm, I wouldn’t say we have had
many struggles along the way, the main one is probably when we
were on tour and were currently in Canada, and all of a sudden
Olivia, Lauren and Josh fell ill and literally none of them had a voice.
However we still managed to perform and put on a good show so it
was okay in the end. What are your goals for the future? Long term
goals for us would be to still be touring all over the world and to have
hit No1’s in as many countries as possible. We just want to create
new current music for everyone to enjoy and listen to them.
If you could perform with anyone in the near future who would it be
and why? Erm, this is a tricky one. We have many artists which we
would love to perform with but if we had to pick one we would have
to say Beyoncé because she has so much experience in the industry
and she has an amazing voice and talent. Do you have any events
coming up or recording going on right now? We are performing at
Capital FM’s summer ball and Key 103 live this year, which is very
exciting and we are looking forward to these events. And at the
minute we are currently recording our next albums which will be out
on sale on the 24th of April 2016. When are your next tours? Well
were still recording in the studio at the moment so hopefully it will
be sometime in July and August, after the album has come out on
sale. We can’t wait for this next album to be on sale we hope you
3. enjoy our songs and were very excited about seeing our fans at
upcoming events and tours. Is it true one of you girls dated Justin
Bieber once? Yeah, it was me Lauren; we were together just before I
met these for about 2 years
