Client research • The client we are working for is BBC 3, they are part off the BBC conglomerate which is owned by The department for culture, media and sport. • They come on after 7pm and have a 9pm watershed for viewers, they go off air around half 3 in the morning which is prime for our target audience as 16-24 year old tend to stay up later than any other age group • BBC 3 are known for mainly airing reality shows and documentaries/docuseries’ which focus on current day culture and attempt to make it interesting and light- hearted for viewers easy enjoyment which is what I intend to replicate in my documentary. • The BBC was founded in 1922 by john Reith and recently celebrated its centenary anniversary last year, the BBC follows the Reithian principals, inform-educate- entertain.
