3. SHORT – MID – LONG TERM –
CAREER GOALS
- My short-term goal is to figure out what field of employment I would like to join
as recently, I have been questioning what I would like to do as a long-term job
so I would like to do some research and thinking to decide what I would like to
do, even if my future job doesn’t involve media.
- My mid-term career goal is to try as many things as I can and research into
different fields of work that may intrigue me. I would like to explore every
pathway that I can and be confident that I have chosen the right career for me.
- My long-term career goal is to achieve the highest position in my chosen field
of work, failing that, I would like to have a position which fulfils me and that I
am satisfied with. If I stick with media, then I hope to be in a position where I
am involved in film/TV in some capacity.

assessment I scored high In the
categories of teamwork, problem
solving and creativity. I did not
score highly in the categories of
staying positive, speaking and
leadership.

ANALYSIS
I think that is accurate to me as I do
tent to interrupt people when I speak to
them which Is something I need to work
on, I also agree that I tend to know when
someone is trying to persuade me through
their language choices
This is quite accurate to me when it
comes to speaking as I tent to speak
my clearly and confidently when I
know the people I am speaking to, I
also agree that I seem to be less
confident and stutter more when I am
overwhelmed or talking to strangers.

I do tend to ask people for help when
needed so I agree with the strength's
aspect of this however, I don’t agree
with the implication that I don’t find
my own solutions to problems as
believe that I do this quite well.
I do agree that I use creativity both
in work and life, I also agree that
should help others to understand what
I’m envisioning rather than assuming
that they are thinking the same thing
as me.

I do not agree that I find opportunities
in difficult situations as I tend to shy
away from difficult situations, I also
disagree with the improvement section as
I feel like I can usually tell when
people feel positive and negative, I
also feel like I keep trying when
I agree with the strengths section as
I feel like I know when things are
getting too difficult for me, I
disagree with improvements as I feel
although I always take a positive
approach to new challenges.

I don’t feel like I can properly
assess my strengths and weaknesses as
a leader, so I disagree with that. I
do agree that I find it hard to
support others.
I feel like I typically work with
other in a positive way, so I
agree with that statement. I
agree with the weakness section
as I tend to mess about sometimes
if I'm working with a group of
friends with isn’t appropriate in
a work setting.
9. EXTRA SKILLS
In 2023 I completed a course to become an adobe
certified professional in photoshop, I completed it
with help from the company ‘Foresite’ based in
Sunderland city centre who run the course and
provide the classes with lessons being completed
both in person and through Microsoft teams and
the revision course work being completed
through an external application that is ran by
adobe. The course provided me with the skills I
need to navigate and use photoshop to a
professional standard, I also received a certificate
from adobe which certifies that I have completed
the course and passed the exam.
