Amy Cuddy's TED talk discusses how body language affects psychology. There are two types of body language - high power poses that convey confidence and low power poses that convey lack of confidence. Adopting high power poses, even if feigned, can increase testosterone and decrease cortisol, shifting one's psychology from pessimistic to optimistic. The talk suggests that by changing one's body language, one can change one's mindset and behaviors.
