This document provides instructions for an intermediate writing lesson on improving presentation skills about people. Students are asked to complete a homework assignment before the lesson by writing about a good characteristic of people in their country and how sharing this trait could benefit others. The lesson will involve the student reading their homework aloud, getting feedback from the teacher, and answering follow-up questions. The teacher is directed to structure the lesson by first having the student read their work, then spending 10 minutes proofreading and correcting it with the student, and finishing with 5 minutes of discussion questions.

Teacher Notes 4 Please structure your lesson as follows: 1. After a brief introduction, ask the student to read his/her homework assignment out loud. Note any grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation errors. 2. Spend 10 minutes helping the student proofread the document. Focus on correcting grammar, sentence structure, and vocabulary. 3. In the final 5 minutes, ask the discussion questions on the following page of this lesson. 4. After the session, please spend 15 minutes proofreading the student’s homework assignment.
