Problem:
Every year many peoples die because they didn’t get proper treatment & drugs in time. A
statistics shown that only in United State 375,000 person die every year because of sudden heart
attack! There are many drug that calm down heart and prevent heart attack like nitroglycerin,
ACE inhibitors, Beta blockers and ...! But they have to be injected to the body immediately.
When an old lady sleeps at home and suddenly heart attack happens, she is really in a bad
situation, because there is no doctor at home to help her and give her drug. And if she is
hospitalized, it takes time for nurses to hear the alarm and go to patient's room, take her drug and
inject that to her body! Also, if it is automated; this problem may be solved.
Solution
There are some symptoms before a disease such as fever, heart attack arise. Like, the first stage
of heart attack is sudden change in heart beat rate. Suddenly it goes too high or too low. At this
stage we detect it and predict & prevent heart attack by help of our Intelligent Emergency
Patient Support System. Some other disease like fever also can be detected & prevented using
this system.
Equipment for solving this problem:
1. Digital Sensation System (DSS)
Here, Digital Sensation System is an intelligent device which can sense 12 biomedical
parameters of a patient. The sensors are Snore Sensor, Temperature Sensor, GSR Sensor, ECG,
EMG Sensor, Blood Pressure Sensor, Spirometer, Body Position, EEG, Airflow Sensor, and
SPO2.

2. Intelligent Robotic Trolley (IRT)
Here, Intelligent Robotic Trolley is a type of trolley which can detect its destination using IR
(Infrared Ray) sensor, it can go throw by its line & back into its place. Also it can avoid
obstacles.
3. Smart Medicine Rack (SMR)
Smart Medicine Rack is able to contain drugs smartly & detect any drugs from its every window.
4. Emergency calling Device (ECD)
In emergency stage, if the patient feel uneasy or something wrong, or want to go into the
washroom, it can click the ECD.
5. Health Care Apps (Doctor)
This Health Care Apps is only for Doctor & can instruct the System controller. Doctor can select
Drugs for his/her patient.
6. Health Care Apps (Nurse)
This app is only for the Nurse & can get notification if patient feel something wrong!
7. Cloud Storage
Cloud storage is only for store all the data.
8. System Controller (SC)
System Controller (SC) is a Raspberry pi.

How it works?
In this project Digital sensation system will be attached to patient's body. Digital Sensation System
will send heart rate, Temperature, GSR, ECG, Blood Pressure, EEG, Airflow, and SpO2 to the
Cloud storage for each moment. Another smart system controller which is placed in patient room
will continuously checks the data from cloud storage. If the data is good and normal, there will be
no action, else the buzzer start buzzing. Also it will send a emergency push notification to the
doctor and nurse. After checking this notification & patient Data, the Doctor will be able to give
prescription from anywhere in the world using our mobile app. Mean time after sending emergency
signal to doctor’s system controller will wait for response from doctor within given time. If Doctor
Response in time this will be stored for AI (Artificial Intelligence) data set and sent to the system
controller. Otherwise AI Based decision tree will be applied (only if auto decision enabled) for
generating prescription. System controller will get prescription from doctor or AI Based data set
and send instruction to intelligent robotic trolley which will pick the medicine from Smart
medicine rack and automatically transfer it to patient’s bed by help of IR sensor.
An emergency touch button is located near the bed that run the buzzer, patient can use this button
in emergency situations.
Also, using our APP Doctor and nurse can communicate with each other for any kind of issues &
also nurse can pick photos to send doctor.
