This document contains a literacy screening instrument for assessing Year 3 English literacy in Malaysia. It consists of 12 constructs to test students' English reading abilities, including identifying letters, associating sounds with letters, blending sounds into words, segmenting words into sounds, understanding words, participating in conversations using phrases, comprehending phrases, sentences and paragraphs in texts, and constructing sentences. Teachers are to use it to guide students through literacy exercises and evaluate their skills in different areas.
