If we teachers want to make a

students, we MUST know what we want
our students to accomplish…
Goals that we share with our students for them to
know where they are going and what is expected
from them.

Recognize well defined instructional
objectives
- A well-defined objective is a USEFUL instructional
objectives.
- We need a criteria.
1. Student- Centred
2. Descriptive of Appropriate Learning Outcome
3. Clear and Understandable.
4. Observable.
A student-centered instructional objectives gives emphasis on
STUDENTS OUTCOME or what students are expected to do
and NOT on what a teacher will do.

on a diagram of the heart similar to the one on page 27 of the text.
• The key to an observable objective is an observable verb.
• Selecting instructional objectives for use in your teaching,
watch the verbs!

electronic tools and equipment as well as
its uses or functionability.
Note: This is a single goal and this could lead to several
observable and more specific OBJECTIVES.
Write well- defined instructional
objectives
2ND STEP: Break Down the General Goals into
More Specific, Observable Objectives
General Goal: “Students will be able to familiarize several
electronic tools and equipment as well as
its uses or functionability.(subject. matter content)
First: Examine if the goal is already well-defined.
List down at least 20 electronic tools and equipment.
 Match each tools and equipment to its function/uses.
Group the tools and equipment according to their
function.
