2. What does a production company
do?
A production company sponsor's the film by helping to
create it, looking over the film from when it is just an idea to
when it is completed. It mainly assists in budgeting and
raising money for the film along with
scripting, scheduling, casting and much more such as finding
a director and the actors and actresses required in order to
achieve a successful film.
However, this also means that they are responsible if
anything goes wrong in the film such as injuries and property
damage.

 We decided to name our production
company ‘Clockwork Productions’
because we agreed that if we chose a
memorable picture and added a
ticking sound effect to the ident, it
would be memorable and unique form
any other company logo to the viewer
of the film.
We chose an old fashioned font
and we dulled the colours of the picture
to make it appear more dated, therefore
more creepy to match the type of film
that we wanted to produce. We also
added a chilling sound to our final ident
to add to this.

4. What Does A Distributor Do?
 The distributor is responsible for sending
the film our into the public. Their job is to
promote the film and decided where and
when the film will be shown.
 Many steps must be taken in order for
distribution. They must first analyze the
film and decide how many copies to
make. The film is then shown to
prospective buyers such as cinema
owners. A price is agreed for the film
before it is sent to cinema’s around the
world and viewed by the general public.
 We chose ‘Revolver’ to distribute our film
as it has distributed many other thriller
British films that have become very
successful.

5. How Could Your Film Been
Funded?
 Ourfilm could be funded by the British Film
Industry lottery fund. They support film
makers in the UK who are emerging which
would suit our film perfectly.
