food and water , he survived ten
days on the open sea and
escaped

• Born in 1928
• He was a great colombian novelist, short
story writer, screenwriter and journalist.
• He was also called ‘gabo’
• He was awarded the Nobel Prize for
literature in the year 1982
• One Hundred Years of Solitude , Love at
Time of Cholera is his notable works.
