Introduction
•Training is the acquisition
of knowledge, skills, and competencies as a result of
the teaching, that relate to specific job
•Training plays an important role in human resource
development
•Training gives confidence and ability to emloyee to
perform job efficiently
•Training is for developing overall personality of an
employee
•Expenditure on training is an investment which gives
rich dividend to employees and organisation

Infosys was co-founded in 1981 by N. R. Narayana
Murthy, Nandan Nilekani
It has a workforce of 1,60,000 employees
Uses Foundation program for training of fresh
graduates
Currently Infosys has huge facility in Mysore to
train 4,000 employees together
Infosys Leadership Institute (ILI), karnataka trains
employees for bigger roles
Today, Infosys is rated amongst world best in
training & development
Training for Freshers @ INFY
•At mysore a 6 month training program is conducted
•After which evaluation of candidates is done & only
passed candidates are retained.
•A great importance is given to other areas like soft
skills, leadership qualilities, cross cultural training etc.
Various training method for freshers:
•Induction/orientation training
•Refresher’s training
•Role play training
•Internship training
Training for Job-Exp. @ INFY
•A “corporate training team” has been formed in
infosys to train Job experience employees
•Exp. People from diff. org. & job role are mingled
together, by this infy gets the smartest minds
together for a wider exposure

•Promotional training
•Reedial training

Training in Band C & above:
Operations management, Leadership
fundamentals, Domain training, Quality training, Appraisal
skills workshop
Performance Development Plan:-
A sheet which the employee and manager has to fill where
both of them have to provide information which all areas
the employee has improved in
Projects:-
Small term projects like on Six Sigma, where at the end of it
the employee has to give presentations to the training team
Questionnaire:-
•Feed back from the employees on the quality and content
of training
•Analysis is done on it and than it is scaled
