This document discusses the history and services of the library at the Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters (FFPW) in Vodňany, Czech Republic. It outlines the library's development from 1921 when it was founded as part of the Research Institute of Fish Culture and Hydrobiology, through its various changes in location and institutional affiliation. Today it is a branch of the Academic Library of the University of South Bohemia and provides specialized resources and services to FFPW students and staff. The library collects Czech and foreign publications on fisheries, hydrobiology and related topics. It cooperates with other Czech libraries through interlibrary loans and works with the Association of Libraries of Czech Universities to advocate for university libraries.
